Michi-no-Eki Hota Elementary School is one of Chiba’s most distinctive roadside stations. Its shop offers many original souvenirs inspired by the former school. This review introduces one of the most eye-catching items.
“Stand in the Hallway!” Strawberry Milk Gaufrettes (Nanohana no Sato)

A bucket-shaped box contains 10 gaufrettes and costs 540 yen. Even the illustration of a cleaning cloth adds to the playful school theme.

The cute package and sturdy handle make it especially appealing as a gift.

The best-before date is printed on the back and was about four months from purchase.

The cream inside is pale pink.
How do the gaufrettes taste?

The wafers are crisp and light, with a satisfying bite. The strawberry cream is not overly sweet and has a fresh berry aroma. Each thin, palm-sized piece is easy to eat without making a mess.
The bucket-shaped paper package is the main attraction, but the flavor is also enjoyable. It is a fun conversation-starting souvenir from Chiba.
Thank you for the treat!
