MIYABI is famous for its Danish-style bread, and I found a peanut-flavored loaf at Ichihara Service Area. Since peanuts are closely associated with Chiba, could it be a prefectural exclusive? I investigated briefly but could not confirm the answer.
MIYABI Danish bread is sold in many places, but this peanut variety may be unique to this location. In any case, it was delicious enough to deserve an introduction.
MIYABI Peanut Danish (Daisho)

MIYABI Danish bread display
The display described MIYABI Peanut Danish as an Ichihara Service Area exclusive. It cost 864 yen.

Because it is bread, the best-before date is presumably the same day or the following day.

Peanuts are scattered over the top.
What Did MIYABI Peanut Danish Taste Like?

Peanut butter is folded directly into the Danish dough.
I first ate a slice as it was. Since it was no longer freshly baked, the outside was not crisp.
Even so, the substantial, moist Danish layers were delicious.
The richness of the peanut butter was excellent too.
It tasted good at room temperature, but toasting made it even better.

The outside became crisp while the center remained soft and chewy. Warm peanut butter seemed to spread juicily through every bite.
The sweetness was just right, and the luxurious aroma was wonderfully comforting.
Delicious!
After tasting it, I fully understood why MIYABI Danish bread is so popular.
It does not keep for long, so it is best as a souvenir for family or close friends you can give it to immediately. Naturally, buying one for yourself is also an excellent idea.
Finding something this delicious always brings happiness. Thank you for the treat.
Chiba has many other tasty souvenirs.
