Continuing from the previous article, this is another item I purchased at Hokkaido Market, the antenna shop on the first floor of Asakusa ROX 3G.
I bought White Black Thunder, a Hokkaido-exclusive version of a snack that feels as though it ought to be sold in every convenience store, yet usually is not.
It is a very casual product, so when giving it as a souvenir you need to consider the recipient and occasion. Still, its distinctive style and chocolate-rich flavor make it exactly the sort of sweet I would love to receive, so I have put together a full review.

I had found and bought this once before while visiting Hokkaido.
Being able to enjoy Hokkaido’s exclusive white-chocolate Black Thunder in Tokyo was exciting, and I bought it the moment I spotted it.
The sparkling snowflakes on the package also give it a wonderfully Hokkaido-like winter appearance.
The best-before period is printed on the side: 180 days from manufacture.
Each bar contains 132 kilocalories.
The individually wrapped bars are packed neatly into the box, and their metallic blue wrappers look beautiful.
What did White Black Thunder taste like?
The familiar Black Thunder center is coated in white chocolate.

When you bite into it, the white chocolate spreads with a mellow, milky flavor.
The cookie and biscuit center offers a delightful mixture of rugged crunch and lighter crispness.
The white chocolate makes Black Thunder taste even richer, so a single bar is enough to create a wonderfully satisfied feeling.
I have never met anyone who dislikes Black Thunder, and this version should have broad appeal too. The individual wrappers also make it ideal as an affordable souvenir to hand out to a group.
