Fukkachan is the mascot character inspired by Fukaya green onions in Saitama.
The plump, three-dimensional Fukkachan box attracted me at Takasaka Service Area. I have also seen this product frequently at other service and parking areas.
Its appearance has considerable impact, so it caught my attention every time. I finally decided to buy one.
Fukkachan is already a cute mascot, but transforming the character into a box makes the design even more appealing.
Fukkachan Chocolate Crunch (Keyakido)
A box of ten cost 540 yen.

Even the FUKAYA logo is cute.

The best-before date is printed on the back, and the chocolates keep for 180 days from manufacture. Do not worry: green onion is not listed among the ingredients—although including a little might have been interesting.

The box itself is wonderfully cute, so it is disappointing that the individual wrappers are completely plain.
The product would be even more useful if the packets also worked when handed out separately.

The size is similar to the famous chocolate crunch sold at Disney, and the shape closely resembles it too.

I bit into the thick, substantial chocolate.
The fine crunch has an excellent crisp texture somewhere between cookie crumbs and cornflakes. The chocolate itself is slightly bittersweet and delicious.
With ten pieces in a compact box that fits in one hand, buying several as souvenirs would be practical.
Above all, Fukkachan fans may want the box for the adorable package alone.
Because the individual wrappers are plain, if you distribute them separately, be sure to show everyone the character box first.
Thank you for the treat.
