I have eaten Yaokin’s Umaibo natto flavor, but this product is made by a company in Ibaraki, the prefecture famous for natto.

It is crisp, with a clear natto flavor and even a sense of stickiness. Mayonnaise softens the sharp kick of mustard, creating an addictive taste.

Even mellowed by mayonnaise, it is spicy enough to be difficult for children. This feels like an adult snack and should pair well with drinks.

Plum and mentaiko flavors were also available.

Each includes the natto flavor as well, so I am curious how those combinations taste.

The unapologetically bold mustard mayonnaise flavor of this Ibaraki Natto Snack is addictive and highly recommended.
